Welcome to Prairie Elementary School. We will start our year with 192 students K-6. This is up from our 2011-2012 count by 18 students. Our students in grades K-2 will enjoy a new edition as we added a 4 room wing to our existing building. Our after school program is also located in the new edition and is open until 6:00 p.m. every night.

School year 2011-2012 we closed a building and now operate as a K-6 elementary and a 7-12 junior/senior high. With our new Kindergarten through Sixth grade arrangement, Prairie Elementary will see our Special Education and Title programs sharing services and space. Collaboration and coordination of activities will be elementary based.

Our second grade students will be introduced to IPads. We are piloting this
technology in the elementary 2012-2013. Our fifth and sixth grade students
have laptop computers available to be used in the classroom. We also have a
computer lab with 26 machines available to students throughout the day.

Our motto is “Every child learning every day”. We encourage each member of our educational system to work together to provide the highest quality educational program possible. We truly believe that it is our mission to be committed to learning for all students as they are guided to reach their highest potential.
