Welcome to Prairie Junior/Senior High School, the home of the Pirates. Here we have a commitment by faculty and community to bring the best educational opportunities to our students. As a faculty we have been busy developing courses to challenge students and prepare our graduates for advanced training or college level opportunities. We recognize that the jobs of the future require more from our students if we are to continue to be a world leader and compete in developing world markets. We also hope to instill in our students a desire to continue to grow and learn throughout their lives. We look to aid the community in fostering a positive environment for parents to interact with our school and assist our students in becoming healthy, active citizens of this great nation. I encourage parents to check out their student’s progress on PowerSchool often and make contact with teachers whenever possible. While it is true that a community helps raise our children, I believe that it takes dedicated parenting to raise successful children. I am always looking for input from the community and appreciate those who take the time to call or come in to visit personally. We are all a part of the same future. To say that we are not all connected in life is to say that only half of the ship is sinking and that the other half will sail on.
