Cottonwood School District provides protection measures that block or filter Internet access to pictures that are (a) obscene, (b) child pornography, or (c) harmful to minors (for computers that are access by minors).  The Cottonwood School District requires all students and parents to sign an Internet Use Agreement.  Our district subscribes to Lightspeed which provides total traffic control for managing our district network’s usage, health, and security.  With this comprehensive solution we can monitor user activity, ensure Acceptable Use Policies are being followed (on email, the Web, or the desktop—both on the network and off) reduce dangerous and costly security threats, ensure school resources are utilized safely and effectively.
